It is formulated to treat complex skin infections that may involve a combination of bacteria and fungi, while also managing the associated symptoms like itching, redness, and swelling. It is a “four-way” combination therapy, meaning it addresses four different aspects of skin pathology simultaneously.

Composition

The cream contains four active ingredients, each serving a specific therapeutic role:

1. Ofloxacin: A fluoroquinolone antibiotic that kills bacteria by interfering with their DNA replication. It treats the bacterial component of the infection.

2. Ornidazole: An anti-protozoal and antibacterial agent. It is particularly effective against anaerobic bacteria and certain parasites that may complicate skin conditions.

3. Itraconazole: A potent anti-fungal agent. It works by stopping the growth of fungi, making it effective against ringworm, athlete’s foot, and other fungal skin infections.

4. Clobetasol Propionate: A “super-high potency” corticosteroid. It reduces the chemicals in the body that cause inflammation, providing rapid relief from itching, redness, and swelling.

This cream is typically prescribed for:

Important Usage Information

• Application: Apply a thin film only to the affected area as directed by your doctor. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after application.

• Duration: Do not use this cream for longer than prescribed. Because it contains a high-potency steroid (Clobetasol), prolonged use on the face or sensitive areas can lead to skin thinning or “steroid-induced acne.”
